On Sunday, 25th of June, EVS volunteers from Ekocentrum took part in the Father’s Day Event with their activities in Wyspa Slodowa. This event was part of Family Month in this park. The Wroclaw family holiday is an annual gathering of events and attractions aimed at all Wrocław residents, especially families with children. Wroclaw institutions, non-governmental organizations and commercial companies to cooperate and actively participated in the project.

“Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future”. The quote made by the U.S. president John F. Kennedy so many decades ago perfectly embodied the event we took part in on the 11th of June 2017. On this meaningful day the city government organized in Wyspa Slodowa an event for the children of Wroclaw that was called Family Month. The Wroclaw family holiday is an annual gathering of events and attractions in May and June aimed at all Wrocław residents, especially families with children.

My name is Zuhal Yıldırım I am from Turkey. I have graduated from the depertment of archeology in Ege University
My personal interests are history, nature trips, camping and painting. I participated in various archeological excavation all over my country.

On Friday 21th of July we participated in a cultural initiative organized by Żółty Parasol. We deliberately chose a neglected neighbourhood in Barlickiego Street near Park Tołpy with one goal in mind; render it more attractive and allow children of the local community to enjoy summer vacations in their own backyard. So the works kicked off early in the morning and with the weather on our side, we knew a perfect day was ahead of us.

Do you know what is common between ecology and food? With this question we have started our meeting with Summer School at Fundacja EkoRozwoju. All together with Monika (instructor), EVS volunteers and volunteers of the UNESCO Initiatives Center we discussed how environment and ecosystem affect food and water we use.

Elif Yeşilırmak was born on 12.04.1993 in Turkey. She studied International Relations in Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey between the years 2011-2016. She was a part of management team International Relations Student Club during her last 2 years of university and organized many events with ambassadors and professors about current situation of the world, energy policies, water politics, economics, foreign policy and women’s rights.

Let me introduce myself. My name Oksana. I'm 25 years old. I'm from Sumy. It is a city of Ukraine. I grew up and and stadied in this city. I graduated from Sumy National Agrarian Univercity, department Veterinary. I volunteered in different organisations in the last 11 years and I took part in many projects. My passion is travel and horseride. As a person I am very social and I like to meet new people, especially from different countries and all walks of life, because of cultural enrichment such encounters create.
